We’ll ask questions about how you’re feeling and doing now, what your childhood was like, important cultural factors in your life, what your relationships are like, and what your goals are in our work together. The first appointment will be a little different because of these questions, but you are always in charge of telling us what feels comfortable to you.

This will be different for everyone and will be based on how you’re feeling and doing now, your needs and preferences, and any unexpected life events. For others, counseling will typically last 3-6 months, but the majority are in counseling about one year or more. You are in control, and we will support you along the way.
